Biography

Glenn Marvin May was born Feb 2, 1929 in Gilbert, Arizona, the second child and only son of John Wesley May and Clara (Berger) May. He was raised on the family farm there and completed secondary school at Gilbert High School.

He entered the U.S. Army shortly after WW2, and served in the occupation forces in Germany, being discharged from the Army in January 1956. Shortly after returning home to Arizona, he met Alice Hoffman, who had recently moved to Arizona. They were married June 22, 1957.

Glenn and Alice had five children, Carol, Ralph, Ronald, and twins Jane and Janet. The family left Arizona in 1971, purchasing a farm south of Wendell, Idaho. There, Glenn and Alice raised their five children to adulthood.

Alice died in 2000 from a stroke after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Glenn retired from farming shortly thereafter, and was happily able to find a fulfilling and active retirement in partnership with Sandra (Jeffress) Love, whom he married in 2003.

Glenn died at his home in rural Gooding County on Apr 18, 2019.
